Walking Therapy

I now offer women's walking therapy (often referred to as 'walk and talk') which is an outdoor counselling session. We walk side by side in a calm, agreed location rather than sitting across from each other in a room or meeting on a screen. This can feel more natural and less intense, helping many people relax and speak more freely.

Being outside supports wellbeing by reducing stress, improving mood, and encouraging a sense of perspective. Gentle movement can help regulate emotions, ease anxiety, and support clearer thinking. Walking alongside a therapist - rather than facing them directly -  can feel less exposing and more conversational, which many clients find especially helpful when discussing difficult or sensitive topics.

Walking therapy provides the same professional, confidential support as my usual counselling, with the added benefits of fresh air, movement, and connection to the natural environment.
